4. dirty south. nicky romero/tommy trash. bassjackers/angger dimas. moguai. deniz koyu. style of eye. felix cartal/pierce fulton.
a slow week in music compared to the last, being that most artists saved their releases for last week coinciding with their arrivals in miami. however this week there’s still a few, so see how you go with these.
Michael Brun – Rise (Dirty South Edit) – dirty south has been killing it in the last 12 months. this is no exception. it’s no anthem, but it’s still pretty fucking good.
Nicky Romero – Toulouse (Tommy Trash Remix) – it doesn’t outdo the original, but it’s tommy fucking trash. he doesn’t make bad songs.
Bassjackers & Angger Dimas – RIA (Original Mix) – bassjackers are awesome, don’t get me wrong. but angger dimas disappoints me. his releases have really dropped off in the last year or so, and he needs to step up his game. but this is still a solid release nevertheless.
Junkie XL (Feat. Isis Salam) – Off The Dancefloor (Deniz Koyu Remix) – deniz koyu going large this year. bring on an australian tour!
Style of Eye – Devastate (Original Mix) – i love style of eye, i always enjoy their releases. this is no exception.
Felix Cartal – Domo (Pierce Fulton Remix) – tuuuuuuune. pierce fulton clearly one to watch this year.
after enjoying moguai’s essential mix release so much last week, i got stuck into his previously released album Mpire. here are the highlights. but if you ask me, buy the whole album. it’s awesome. one of the best you’ll hear this year, particularly with all the overrated releases you see at times. these are all huge tracks in their own way, get on them. now.
p.s. i put out a ton of songs to enjoy last week. if you didn’t get greyhound, the vocal version of calling, the remix of beating of my heart, let’s go, all by myself & the fox. go back and get them. fuck it, get them all. there was 20 awesome tracks in there that you missed out on if you failed to enjoy them. if the links have died, find them yourself! it’ll be more than worth it.
